My 2019 Goals!

I am not one for “new years resolutions” if I’m being completely honest. I feel like it always leads to disappointment by March when you stop keeping up with them. So this year I decided to make some “goals” for myself! I don’t know why, but I feel like the word goals is less intimidating than “new years resolutions” haha! Anyone else?

2019 Goals

  • Reading the Bible and Praying Everyday
    • My first and most important goal for 2019 is to read my Bible AND pray everyday. I know this is something that sounds so simple, but one or the other or both do not always happen for me. I feel like one of the main things that has held me back from praying and being in The Word everyday is thinking that I need to carve out a big chunk of time, but you really don’t.
  • Eat at Home More Often
    • This is a huge one for Cody and I! Towards the end of 2018 it felt like we were eating out so much with all of the holidays! Now that we are settled into our new home, I want to make sure we are sharing meals more often together at home! This motivation was partly due to just eating healthier in general and trying to save money! Trader Joe’s is my favorite for grocery shopping because it is SO affordable! My biggest tip I can offer to you if you want to cook more often is to make a list for the week and stick to it!
  • Less TV Time
    • Honestly, this one may be our hardest to commit to. At the end of a work day, it’s so tempting to become a couch potato and watch tv (and even more tempting during the winter)! A couple things I’d like to do to replace tv time is to walk our dogs more, use this time to read my Bible and pray, or to work on some things around the house.
  • Tidying Up
    • Have you seen the new hit show on Netflix, “Tidying Up?” It is life changing! Marie Kondo shares so many attainable ways to life a more simple and organized life at home! Cody and I got rid of SO much junk when we moved, but we still have some work to do here. I’ve been taking on little projects each week so that I do not become overwhelmed by thinking about the entire house! I’ll be sharing much more in depth about this process along with my favorite organizational products throughout the year!
  • Consistency with my Blog
    • This is a big one for me! I started my blog last year and learned so much about what I wanted this space to be. This year my focus will be on being consistent and sharing more than just clothes! I have some very exciting things planned for 2019 that I can’t wait to share with y’all!
