The Bag Every Blogger (or Photographer) Needs

Shop The Post

Before I started blogging, the first thing I knew I needed to invest in was a DSLR camera and lens. It is very important to me to have quality over quantity, making my camera an essential for me to be successful! If you know anything about cameras, you know they are not cheap and very fragile! Taking care of your camera and lens are of the utmost importance to insure that it lasts you a very long time.

Since purchasing my camera and lens, I had been on the hunt for a stylish travel bag that I can safely keep my camera, lens, laptop and iPad in (yes, I have a lot of tech items – I know)! You’d think that with how many photographers and bloggers there are that there would be more products to choose from. I first heard of Kamrette when my photographer, Hannah Schweiss, purchased the Kamrette backpack that holds her equipment. I was immediately intrigued due to the design and had to learn more!

Before you continue reading, you should know that this is not sponsored, I do not receive any commission off of this product, and I was not asked to write this post. I truly adore this product and my hope from my blog has always been to share what I love and am passionate about in the hopes of helping YOU!

About Kamrette

After checking out the Kamrette website and learning more about the company, I was hooked. They have very few products, but sometimes that is a great thing because as I said earlier, quality is better than quantity! The founder of Kamrette, Kate, is a photographer herself and launched the bags in 2015. She has had great success and quickly sells out of product! The brand’s goal is ‘connecting style with functional design.’ It’s hard for me not to be a fan when I find a product or brand that is all about simple, classic designs that are functional as well.

About the Avana Camera Handbag

The bag I have is the Avana Camera Handbag. My intention when buying this bag, was strictly for travel purposes. I figured I would just be using it when I needed to travel with my camera and laptop but I use it so much more than that! The Avana has adjustable padding that allows you to carry your camera and MULTIPLE lenses! I love that these pads are adjustable. Since I only have one lens right now, I put my chargers and cords in the other lens dividers.

Another aspect of bags that is important to me is having slots and pockets! I like to have my items separated and in their own little spot so that I can quickly get to them. The Avana is full of compartments, pockets and pouches for all of your travel items. The Avana is made from vegan leather and is custom made. The material is scratch resistant and very easy to clean. If you’d like to learn more about the Avana, click here. Oh, and it’s on sale right now! YAY!

What’s in My Avana Bag?

  • My Macbook Pro (fits up to 15 inch laptop)
  • My Canon 80D and 50mm lens (can fit 1 camera body + 2-3 lenses)
  • 1 Book
  • 1 iPad mini (could definitely fit a normal iPad size)
  • Multiple chargers (including the bulky, Macbook one)
  • Camera charger (bulky and square)
  • Multiple small travel items

XO,
