Baby Shower Luncheon

I am so excited to share this post with y’all! Baby boy and I feel so loved after my baby shower back home in St. Louis this weekend with so many dear friends and family!

This shower was planned by one of my very talented friends, my mom and myself! My mom and I wanted to have more of a formal luncheon shower at the country club my parents belong to in St. Louis – Old Warson Country Club.

When planning the shower, I knew I wanted to keep the decor simple since the room we were in was already so beautiful. I kept the theme colors of the shower light blue and white with gold accents.

I wanted to share pictures and resources of the shower with y’all for your own inspiration, whether you may be thinking about a future shower for yourself or helping plan one for a friend or family member!

Schedule:

The shower was held from 11:00am-1:00pm. Keep in mind, this was a general timeline of events. We stuck to the schedule as best we could with 28 talkative women, haha!

  • 11:00-11:30 – Greeting guests & mingling
  • 11:30-12:15 – Lunch
  • 12:15-12:30 – Games
  • 12:30-12:45 – Gifts (I asked on the invite for guests to send their gifts to our home in Texas so that I wouldn’t have to fly back with everything. So instead of bringing a card to the shower, we asked they bring a book).
  • 12:45-1:00 – Goodbyes & Party Favors

Games:

Templates for the placement cards and baby prediction game were purchased and downloaded from Etsy and were both printed on card stock at Fedex Kinkos
One of our games was guessing the baby’s name. My friend cut out onesie silhouettes on her Cricut machine. We passed them out to everyone towards the end of lunch to write down a guess for the baby’s name. After lunch, we had everyone say their guesses before revealing his name to the group! It was so fun to hear everyone’s guesses! The books and gifts were also on this mantel.
The onesies were hung on the mantel as decoration before we played the game!
We hung the guesses up after! I plan to put these in his baby book!

Party Favors:

For the party favors we gave them a cookie to take home and a mini champagne bottle to pop once the baby is born! The “favors” sign was purchased & downloaded off Etsy and printed on card stock at Fedex Kinkos
Cookies were made and gift wrapped from Colleen’s Cookies
