NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE: What You Need to Know

The time is finally (almost) here!! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale AKA #NSale is one of retails most successful and unique sales of the year! Since this sale is quite different from most, I wanted to write a post for anyone to use as a guide to help you navigate this HUGE once a year sale!

***Products in this sale are known for selling out very quickly, so it’s important to be educated on how to shop this sale so that you can hopefully get what you wanted from it! Last year, items were NOT restocked for the sale. I can’t stress enough the importance of acting quickly if there is something you REALLY want!***

WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?

The #NSale happens at Nordstrom once a year every July. The reason why this sale is always such a big deal is due to the fact that they put brand new, Fall/Winter merchandise on major sale. Many of the items that go on sale are items that typically would not!

A lot of the clothing items will be Fall/Winter products, so it is important to start thinking now about what items you are looking for in your wardrobe for these seasons. For example, this is a great time to buy coats and boots!

I would also suggest thinking about what basics you may be in the market before. Don’t hesitate to think beyond clothing! Different products in every department from Nordstrom will be a part of the sale.

WHEN IS THE SALE?

• Early Access: July 12 at 12:30pm EST (11:30am CST) – July 18
• Public Access: July 19- August 4 (prices go back up August 5)

***The most important thing you need to know about the #NSale is that you MUST be a Nordstrom Cardmember to shop Early Access. The hottest items are known for selling out in the first days of the Early Access period and last year’s products were NOT restocked.***

HOW DO I BECOME A NORDSTROM CARDMEMBER AND WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

It’s easy to become a cardmember! You can get approved immediately to start shopping. Once you are a cardmember, you will be able to shop Early Access a full week before the sale goes public both in store and online.

WHAT DO I LIKE TO SHOP FOR MOST AT THE SALE?

My favorite items to hunt down at the Nordstrom Sale are basics. This is definitely a time where I splurge on some items that I’ve had my eye on for a long time. I almost always snag a good pair of boots and a coat for Fall/Winter! I usually find some staple cardigans and sweaters during the sale that I know will last me years. I also love shopping for handbags and athleisure pieces!

It will be challenging for me to shop clothing this year since I am currently 8 months pregnant and am not sure how things are going to fit me after the baby, but I am hoping I can still grab some pieces that I know will still work! On the flip side, I’m excited to shop for baby clothes/gear this year!

WHY AM I PROMOTING THIS SALE SO MUCH?

As many of you know, blogging is now my job since we decided it would be best for me to stay home with our son and focus on what I am really passionate about! The catalog also tends to share more trendy items for Fall/Winter. What I try to look for in the catalog to help prepare me for the sale is which brands are participating and getting a better idea of how much items are being marked down for the sale.
