Summer Date Ideas

Warm weather always gets me excited to plan some fun dates with my hubby! I’ve got date ideas right and left, so I wanted to share some fun summer ideas with you all! Not in a relationship? Who cares! Grab a girlfriend or two and use any of these ideas for a fun girls night! These are ideas that you could do in any city, but if you are in St. Louis – I’m giving some of my best recommendations!

For anyone in a relationship, dating or married, it’s important to take time for you and your significant other to have time with just the two of you! I feel so lucky that I am able to have so much time with Cody since we both do not travel for work and do not have children yet. For any couples out there that may not get as much alone time together, it’s important to take advantage of the time that you do!

Summer Date Ideas:

  • Go on a Picnic! A picnic is such a fun and completely affordable date night idea! Grab some meats and cheeses, fruit and your drink of choice and you will be good to go! Here are a couple picnic essentials, incase you’re in the market! PS: These make great gift ideas! Especially for newlyweds! If you live in St. Louis, I highly recommend stopping at Straub’s  for some of their famous chicken salad or their cowboy caviar!

  • Go Patio Hopping! Totally made this one up, haha! But the idea behind “patio hopping” is to go to an area that has several restaurants that have patios and are walkable and go to a different one for an appetizer, dinner, and then desert! Pro Tip: Go on the earlier side to beat the rush! Cody and I always go to dinner early so that we can get a table! Here are some of my favorite patios in St. Louis! Click the name of the restaurant to check out their website and menu!

  • Find a Local Event! There are sooo many local events out there! The Yelp app actually has an “events” tab and it lets you see all of the local events in your area! My favorite in St. Louis is Sauce Food Truck Friday in Tower Grove Park! Click HERE for the dates and more information on Food Truck Friday. Another fun idea is to go see Shakespeare in the Park at Forest Park (it’s FREE!)! This year they are doing Romeo & Juliet! Click HERE for more information!
