Destin Gulfgate
This was our first time staying at Destin Gulfgate and we will definitely be coming back. This was also our first time staying in a condo for a vacation and we had the best experience. Destin Gulfgate is located in the heart of the Emerald Coast in Destin. It is a prime location directly on the beach, but also very close to restaurants, entertainment, shopping and more.
Destin Gulfgate is directly on the beach, which was extremely convenient when traveling with littles. This was our first time staying somewhere directly on the beach with kids, which is was so nice if we needed to run back to the condo for something. We really enjoyed how easy it was to get around the property. Our two toddlers loved the beach and pool, so since everything is close together it was really easy to get back and forth from the pool and beach to enjoy both!
The property includes its own private beach and includes a complimentary beach set up of 2 chairs and an umbrella (March 1st – the Sunday after Thanksgiving). You can rent kayaks, umbrellas and more chairs or umbrellas at an extra cost. You can’t beat the beautiful white sand on this beach. It was incredibly soft and our kids played in the sand for hours every single day.
The pool and fitness center overlook the beach and are directly next to the main building making them very easy to access. Destin Gulfgate has a zero-entry pool with a small slide and some fun water features making it really fun for toddlers and young kids to enjoy. The pool area is very spacious with plenty of room to spread out and relax under the sun.
On the property there is also an area overlooking the beach that has picnic tables, grills and barstool chairs overlooking the beach. This is the perfect area to eat at with your family or enjoy a sunset dinner together!
One thing I want to compliment the condominium on is how well they have kept up with the facility. The entire facility was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive and we never had a single maintenance issue anywhere on the property. You can tell that Destin Gulfgate takes pride in their property and takes excellent care of it.

We stayed in Unit 806 and we can’t recommend it enough. This unit was beautifully furnished, updated and very well taken care of. This unit also has it’s own reserved covered parking spot in the garage, which was really convenient to have access too. Unit 806 is set up really well for a family with a king bed in the primary bedroom with it’s own bathroom and beautiful stone walk in shower and a second bedroom with two queen beds and it’s own private bathroom with a bath tub/shower. One thing to note about our specific unit is that since it is on the side of the building, you’re able to see the beach & ocean out of the windows in the living areas and kitchen, which is a wonderful little bonus.

Overall, we had the best experience and look forward to coming back hopefully in the near future. We loved the boutique feel at Destin Gulfgate that was perfect for our family vacation. This condominium has everything you need for the perfect beach vacation in the heart of Destin, Florida!
